The death has taken place of the much-loved Highland Radio DJ, Vincent Kelly.
Vincent Kelly of Grianan Drive, Derry, passed away surrounded by family and friends in The Foyle Hospice on Monday.
Tributes are being paid to the broadcasting stalwart throughout the day on Highland Radio. Vincent had worked with the north west station since it first went on air in 1990. He was a familiar warm voice on late night shows, playing a diverse range of music for his loyal listeners.
Above all, he was a cherished family man, and the beloved husband of Sadie, loving father of Peter, Alison and Paul, and grandfather to his three grandchildren.
His remains are reposing at St. Oran’s Drive, Buncrana. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday morning at 10am in the Long Tower Church, Derry with burial afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to The Foyle Hospice.
