A RESIDENTS group has warned local people to be on the look-out for suspicious activity after an incident this afternoon.
A local Community Crime Alert team says a white transit van with English registration plates entered a property in Killea around 4.30pm.
When the two males in the van were approached by the property owner, the men claimed they were from Enniskillen and were looking to buy old vehicles.
That response prompted the resident to become suspicious – or as one neighbour put it to Donegal Daily: “When you’re looking to buy vehicles you go to a car dealer.”
Residents are being urged to report all such activity directly to gardai.
And there is a warning that the men could be operating this evening and/or tomorrow in other areas of Co Donegal.
