Two batches of Fulfil protein and vitamin bars sold in Irish stores have been recalled due to safety concerns.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued the alert this week ‘due to the possible presence of small pieces of clear plastic’ in one flavour of bars.
The recall relates to specific batches of the Fulfil White Chocolate & Cookie Dough bars sold in both Holland & Barrett and Dunnes Stores.
Customers who have purchased individual Fulfil White Chocolate & Cookie Dough bars from Holland & Barrett, which has a best before date of February 15 2019, are being urged to return them.
The batch code for the affected product is L7318/J.
In Dunnes Stores, boxes of three bars of the same flavour are being recalled. The batch code is L8002/J; and best before date is 5 April 2019.
Recall notices will be displayed in the stores that sold the implicated batch.
Customers who have the bars are asked not to eat them and bring them back to the stores where they were purchased.
