Kilmacrennan NS pupil Jack Mc Bride has been crowned as the Ulster Spelling Bee champion of 2018.
The 12-year-old 6th class pupil won the county title and progressed to Belfast to participate in the challenging Ulster Spelling Bee on Thursday the 24th of May.
It was an incredibly challenging competition which culminated in an intense head to head round. Jack was victorious against his opponents and was eventually crowned the champion speller.
Jack now goes forward to the All-Ireland final on June the 14th in the Helix in Dublin. There, he will meet and take on the three other winners representing Munster, Leinster and Connacht.
