A designated area for car parking on Rossnowlagh Beach has opened this week to keep vehicles away from one zone on the south Donegal beach.
As of this week, the car-free zone ensures that families can enjoy the sun, sea and sand in a safe space.

Buoys have been laid out on the beach between the two slipways to set out the car-free area. The move has been much-welcomed by beachgoers and community members as they can enjoy the beach “as nature intended.”
However, some drivers are not adhering to the barrier, as the Friends Of Rossnowlagh Beach community group have called on cars to respect the zone after one buoy was broken on the first night.
