There is an excited tone to Peadar Mogan this week as he looks forward to Donegal’s joust with Cavan in the new Ulster U20 Championship.
Donegal, managed by Gary McDaid, face the Breffni at Celtic Park on Sunday in the curtain-raiser to the Ulster SFC tie between Donegal and Derry, in their first ever game at U20 level.
“It’s something different,” Mogan says.
“There’s no League or anything. It’s very trial and error. It’ll run off very quickly and it’ll be interesting to see how it pans out. We’re looking forward to it.”
Donegal have been working hard in preparation for Sunday and Mogan believe they can be confident.
He says: “We’re in a good place and we feel that we’re capable of doing something. But we still have to turn up and perform on Sunday. You have to take each game like an Ulster final.”
