A team of Transition Year students at Loreto Letterkenny have undergone major hair transformations for a worthy charity.
The secondary school gym was turned into a hairdressing salon today as 14 pupils cut off plaits of their hair with the expert assistance of Patrick Gildea hair stylists.
All the girls donated at least 7 inches of their hair to a very worthy cause. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer.
The event was organised by two transition year students from Loreto; Eimear Quinn and Laura Kealy.
Patrick Gildea Hairdressing generously donated their services for the day to ensure professional haircuts.
The event was well attended by students from all years in the school, especially transition year students, and was enjoyed by all. Well done girls!
