The Donegal Competitions Controls Committee (CCC) are to investigate the farcical scenes that resulted in the All-County Legaue Division 1 game between Gaoth Dobhair and Kilcar not being played last night.
Gaoth Dobhair wanted the game to be played on the old pitch in Magheragallon.
However, referee Connie Doherty said it could not go ahead as the sidelines were too close to the perimeter wall.
Gaoth Dobhair officials hastily put new lines around the pitch, but Kilcar had moved from the old pitch to the new pitch.
With neither side budging, teams and spectators went home and the game didn’t take place.
The CCC will discuss Doherty’s report before making a determination.
The Reserve game had been played on the new pitch with Gaoth Dobhair winning that game.
