A number of referee appointments have been made by the GAA’s Central Competitions Controls Committee for a number of Championship games – including Donegal’s Ulster SFC clash with Cavan.
Meath referee David Gough will take charge of Donegal’s Ulster SFC preliminary round meeting with Cavan on Sunday-week at Sean MacCumhaill Park.
The Slane man refereed Donegal’s 1-15 to 3-7 League win over Kildare in Ballyshannon earlier this year.
He also took charge of Donegal’s League draw with Monaghan last year, also in Ballyshannon, and was in the middle for the 2014 League Division 2 final between Donegal and Monaghan.
Gough refereed Donegal’s All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Mayo in 2015 and has officiated at All-Ireland semi-finals in each of the last two years – the 2017 replay between Mayo and Derry; and the meeting of Dublin and Kerry in 2016.
