Gardai hunt man after cocaine and cash seizure

Gardai have uncovered more than €2,000 of cocaine and a quantity of cash following a drugs raid in Letterkenny.

Officers raided a house in the Solomon’s Court area of Glencar and found the haul at the weekend.

It was part of an intelligence-led operation by members of the drugs squad.

Although no arrests were made, one individual is being sought in connection with the seizure.

Former Mayor of Letterkenny and anti-drugs campaigner, PJ Blake, said Gardai will score more successes against drug dealers – if they get the resources.

“Our Gardai have the intelligence but they need more resources on the ground if they are to continue uncovering hauls like this,” he said.
