It was a good week to have a Donegal winner, as the National Lottery is celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the first ever Lotto win.
Back in April 1998, Letterkenny widow Brigid McGrath won £147,059 (punts) – the equivalent of €2 million in today’s money. Her ticket was bought at Proctor’s Newsagents in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. That jackpot brought great benefit to Brigid’s community, and another Donegal person is set to get another boost after last night’s win!
