A man has been arrested following a dramatic car chase which resulted in Gardai operating a stinger device close to Lifford Bridge this evening.
It is understood the man was arrested following a number of suspected incidents in Letterkenny earlier in the evening.
The man, who is in his 20s, was pursued by up to four Garda vehicles before being apprehended.
At least one Garda vehicle was damaged during the high-speed chase.
As well as Gardai, the PSNI were also alerted to the pursuit and were waiting in case the vehicle crossed into Strabane.
It is understood that there were also two females in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The man is currently being quizzed at Letterkenny Garda station.
