Brolly gets behind Donegal club’s decision to ‘Opt for Life’

Joe Brolly has given his full support to Donegal League team Rathmullan Celtic’s decision to have the ‘Opt for Life’ charity logo embroidered on their new kit.

Strabane based company, O’Neill’s Sportswear and Equipment, provide a free service to all clubs who wish to have a charity on their kit.

The ‘Opt for Life’ charity is close to the heart of the seaside club as committee member Cain Connolly donated one of his kidneys to his father and both are doing very well.

Brolly himself is, of course, a kidney donor and has been actively involved in the charity for the last few years, raising awareness and encouraging people to become involved also.

Rathmullan Celtic are having a fund-raising day for “Opt for Life ” this Sunday 1st April, starting at 1.30pm at Flagpole Park and everyone is welcome for what will be a fun day.

While disappointed that he cannot attend Sunday’s event, Joe Brolly will be in Rathmullan on Monday to help the club promote the ‘Opt for Life’ message.
