Two Donegal businesses have been named two of the best places in the entire country to avail of a hearty, delicious breakfast.
The Georgina Campbell Breakfast Awards in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland took place at Dublin’s InterContinental Hotel earlier this week, where Irish hospitality leaders went head to head in a bid to win the impressive titles.
Harvey’s Point was highly commended in the 4-star hotel category, with the idyllic Castle Murray House in Dunkineely also being highly commended in the B&B category.
The Tripadvisor reviews for both establishments are top-notch, with past guests raving about the delicious spreads on offer.
Speaking about Harvey’s Point’s mouthwatering breakfasts, one reviewer says: “I have to greatly commend the breakfast staff for their wonderful service, I recently stayed at the hotel and had one of the best services imaginable. I was served by a lovely lad who was making some of the best pancakes imaginable. I would greatly recommend the breakfast in this wonderful hotel.”
Another guest added that the breakfasts are “to die for!”
The reviews for Castle Murray House tell a similar story, with guests noting the tasty breakfasts.
“The owner is lovely, service was great and the breakfast was perfect,” one visitor said. “Fresh orange juice, really nice coffee & the most gorgeous freshly baked scones! I had a lovely full Irish fry & my wife had the pancakes. All very tasty. The bedroom was quirky and very comfortable. We will definitely be returning!”
Another delighted guest aptly stated: “A piece of paradise with impeccable food and service!”
