Spring weather hasn’t arrived in Donegal just yet, as Met Eireann have forecast another cold night with wintry showers.
After a slightly milder day with highs of 8 degrees, there will be showers in the north west tonight which could turn wintry on higher ground. Lows of -1 to 2C are forecast for this Tuesday night.
Western counties of Ireland may experience thunder along with heavy showers in the early hours of the morning.
Gardai are warning drivers to exercise caution on the roads due to the hail. There is a risk of frost and icy patches in areas, while mist and fog may carry a visibility risk.
Met Eireann’s outlook for the week shows that more cold weather is in store, with risks of frost and night after dark.
