Ollie Horgan could find time for a dollop of humour amid his anger at the postponement of Finn Harps’ game against Drogheda United on Friday.
Horgan was incensed when referee John McLaughlin informed them that, due to poor floodlighting at United Park, he was not playing the fixture.
“The first I was made aware of it was when no referee came in at quarter to eight,” Horgan said.
“We were ready to go out the door.
“I knew nothing about it. I had to go and find the referee. The way it was done left a very sour taste on my tongue.”
RTÉ’s Soccer Republic were at United Park for game game and asked what now by reporter Marie Crowe, Horgan could at least have a laugh.
The Harps manager said: ”We’re thinking of going to Mother Hughes’s for a pint anyway… that might bethe only way to solve this problem”
