Last night’s episode of Room to Improve starring Donegal legend Daniel O’Donnell and his wife Majella has emerged as a strong viewers’ favourite.
New figures reveal the property programme topped the Irish viewership charts, pulling in an audience of 722,400 and an audience share of 51%.
With many people catching up on the RTE Player this week, that ratings number could grow as high as Dermot Bannon’s budget dreams!
From secret doors, sky-rocketing costs and questionable timber tiles, the audience loved seeing the O’Donnells’ Kincasslagh home being transformed by celebrity architect Bannon, Johnny Dorrian and his skilled construction team.
The delights of Donegal’s natural scenery had high exposure on the show too, as sweeping landscape shots impressed viewers in Ireland and internationally.
The squabbles, scrapped plans and high costings were all worth it in the end, as the couple ended up with a stunning, bright and beautiful home. See the before and after photos in this slideshow here:
