Experienced former Finn Harps and Derry City midfielder Barry Molloy has returned to the junior football ranks.
The 34-year-old, who played for Harps in 2016 and 2017, has signed for Inishowen League Premier Division side Quigley’s Point Swifts.
Molloy scored for QPS yesterday, but they were beaten 3-1 by Aileach FC in a local derby at the Lakeside.
Molloy lined out for Harps in 2016 when they retained their place in the Premier Division.
He announced his retirement at the end of that campaign, but the Bishop Street man was back in the blue and white last year.
Coaxed back by Ollie Horgan on the eve of the season, Molloy then missed the closing part of the season and appears now to have ended his senior career.
Molloy’s former Derry City team-mate Gareth McGlynn was among the goalscorers for Aileach.
