Motorists and walkers have been warned to take extra care this morning after a night of strong winds and heavy rains as Storm Georgina passed.
There are reports in a number of different areas of fallen trees and heavy roadside flooding.
The county council have been working t clear fallen trees blocking the Raphoe/Stranorlar Road between Raphoe and Convoy.
A status orange wind warning was issued last night with gusts of up to 120km/hr blasting the country for a time.
The wind warning was issued at midnight and ended at 5am today, while a storm yellow rainfall warning is still in place for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare.
The warning will remain until 10am with rainfall totals between 25 to 35mm expected.
Met Eireann have warned that even though the storm has passed, Wednesday will feel very windy with strong, gusty southwest winds.
