Cork City manager John Caulfield has hailed ‘magical’ Barry McNamee after the Ramelton man scored his first goal for the Leesiders today against Finn Harps.
McNamee, Geared Morrissey and Garry Buckley scored in a 3-0 win for Cork at Abbotstown.
Harps had some trialists in action, but Cork ran out comfortable winners – and McNamee caught the eye for Caulfield.
“Barry was magic,” Caulfield said of the midfielder he captured from Derry City.
“He has that magic about him opening up defence. He’ll be a brilliant player for us and fans will love watching him.
“The important thing was that everyone got a run out. That’s what we need now. We created lots of chances and the attitude was fantastic. We still have work to do,”
Caulfield was speaking to the Cork City media team.
