The positions have come about due to extensive investment to build an additional 18 bedrooms and launch a brand new restaurant on level two.
They are seeking a Bar/Duty Manager, Food & Beverage Service Staff (Full Time, Part Time & Seasonal), an Experienced Bartender, and a Hotel Receptionist (Full & Part Time).

Bar/Duty Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic Bar Manager. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, this role provides overall responsibility for the management of the Bar along with duty management duties.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Flexible regarding working hours

- High standards of hygiene and cleanliness required
- A track record in offering a high standard of customer service

Responsibilities will include:

- To greet guests in a warm, friendly manner
- To ensure the work stations are correctly set up ready for service
- To inspect service area prior to beginning service to ensure all the necessary tools are to hand that the area is neat, clean and tidy
- To promote and sell the resorts facilities at all times
- To ensure that any lost items are declared and recorded in line with hotel policy
- To serve customers professionally, promptly and with warmth
- To upsell the various food, beverages and other facilities in the hotel
- To report any maintenance issues immediately
- To adhere to all Company policies including Customer Care, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Cash Handling etc
- Effective communication with other employees to ensure the day to day business runs smoothly
- To manage the supervision of all Bar areas including Function Bars and drink service at all hotel functions
- To ensure a good working environment exists within your Department
- To prepare Bar Rota in conjunction with the business needs of the Hotel and sign off on payroll hours
- To communicate the required operating standards to all bar staff and ensure they understand and implement such standards at all times and are fully briefed and trained accordingly
- To ensure the highest standard of customer service is provided to all customers and to communicate our services and facilities to guests as required
- To ensure the accuracy of all floats by checking them and reporting irregularities
- To control and ensure stock-taking procedures are adhered to and weekly targets are achieved
- To achieve a Gross Profit margin and Net margin as agreed with the GM/Proprietors
- To be responsible for the allocation of stock, procedures and monitoring of Night Porters Press
Hotel & Spa Duty Management responsibility whilst on shift, training provided.
Food & Beverage Service Staff (Full Time, Part Time & Seasonal)

- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Communicate fluently in English (written & oral).
- You must have the ability to walk and stand during your entire shift.
Experienced Bartender
Responsibilities will include:

- Cocktail & Barista experience necessary
- To inspect service area prior to beginning service to ensure all the necessary tools are to hand that the area is neat, clean and tidy
- To promote and sell the resorts facilities at all times
- To ensure that any lost items are declared and recorded in line with hotel policy
- To serve customers professionally, promptly and with warmth
- To upsell the various food, beverages and other facilities in the hotel
- To report any maintenance issues immediately
- To adhere to all Company policies including Customer Care, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Cash Handling etc

Hotel Receptionist (Full & Part Time)
We are seeking a warm & bubbly person to join our expanding reception team due to the launch of an additional 18 bedrooms this spring. It is exceptionally important that you have a keen interest in hospitality and that you are passionate about delivering the warmest welcomes to our hotel guests.
Main Duties of Role:
- Oversee the daily duties of the Front Desk ensuring that policies & procedures are adhered too.
- Ensure & promote a high standard of customer service & care at all times.
- Interact positively with customers promoting the hotel facilities & services
- Develop & maintain good rapport with fellow employees, ensuring that information received which would enable them to carry for them out their work is communicated.
- Promote a “pro-active culture” within the department. Through training, support & review of procedures/policies.
- Carry out any reasonable request from all members of management.
- Contribute to Departmental Meetings.
- Ensure that any complaints are passed immediately to a member of management.
- Be flexible in times that we experience staff shortages & be willing to assist in other departments if required.
- Carry out the Reception & Reservation Duties to a high standard.
- Maintain a safe & tidy working environment (reporting any issues to Line Manager).
- Ensure that your Shift is closed / balanced before going off duty.
- To sell all outlets on the resort, upselling dinner, spa, afternoon tea & leisure.
The ideal candidate for this position:
- Must have previous experience in a similar role in a hotel
- Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
- Must be a team player with the ability to multi task
- Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the hospitality industry

Working Hours & Conditions:
- Your working hours will typically include Evenings, Weekends, Public holidays & Shift work.
- Handover Period: you are required to be ready for work 10 mins before start of shift to receive a “handover” from the previous shift (this applies to handing over from Night porter).
- Full Uniform will be provided and must be worn at all times. It is your responsibility to maintain your uniform.

Who would have thought that a new hotel, on the coast at the top tip of Ireland could achieve occupancy levels that would rival Dublin and a Spa that could also rival the performance of some of the top spas in the country?
Carolynne Harrison General Manager commended her team & their passion for the consistent demand which resulted in occupancy levels of almost 90% all year round. The hotel has no weekends left until April 2018 and is typically booked out in the spa and hotel bedrooms at the weekend for at least 2 months out.
