Things are on the up and up for Donegal company, KN Group.
The engineering contractor, headed by Donagh Kelly, enjoyed a 31% hike in pre-tax profits to €10.25m in the year to February.
The Sunday Times reports that the company’s revenues surged on the back of new contracts with cable and telecom operators.
KN is involved in the design, planning and installation of telecom networks, and posted sales of €230m in the year, a rise of 15.5%.
Revenues are split almost evenly between Ireland (€116.7m) and the UK (€109m). The group also has a small number of contracts in the Caribbean and Africa. Its clients include Eir, BT, Sky, Virgin Media and ESB.
Founded in 1975 as Ashbourne Communications, KN has also done work for London Underground.
Headed by rally driver enthusiast Kelly, KN also sponsors the Donegal senior GAA team and Finn Harps.
