Storm Eleanor is due to bring heavy downpours and potentially damaging winds to Ireland this evening, with weather warnings issued for throughout the night.
Met Eireann have Status Yellow wind and rainfall warnings in place for Donegal this Tuesday night, with the wind warning to last through to Wednesday.
Heavy and thundery rain is expected with this storm, with some spot flooding. Storm Eleanor will bring gale force and squally winds to the west this evening. There are warnings of severe and damaging gusts up to 90 and 110 km/h and very high seas on the Atlantic coast.
