Damien McNulty has confirmed that he has left Finn Harps after five seasons at the club.
The 26-year-old Derry native has signed for Carrick Rangers, who are battling against relegation in the Irish League Premier Division.
McNulty will join the club when the transfer opens next week and his first game is likely to be the Irish Cup clash with Glenavon on Saturday-week.
Carrick boss David McAlinden said, “Damien is a big strong boy who will come in and give us defensive leadership. He’s a very good defender, I’ve known him since he was a young lad when I played against him or seen him playing from going to the odd Finn Harps game and I’m delighted to get him on board.”
McNulty joins former Harps ‘keeper Harry Doherty on the books at Taylors Avenue.
McNulty spent the last five seasons at Harps having been first signed by Peter Hutton in 2013 after spells with Limavady United and Coleraine and was retained by Ollie Horgan for each of the last four campaigns.
