A driver had a lucky escape this afternoon after sustaining no injuries following a crash near Carrigans.
The single vehicle road traffic accident occurred before 2pm, just outside Carrigans, on the road to Derry.
The car was mangled by the accident and was thrown onto its roof. Debris was scattered across the road.
Gardaí have informed Donegal Daily that fortunately no one was injured in the crash.
It is understood that the occupants are being treated for shock.
This particular corner in Carrigans is an accident blackspot.
