Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Wind and Rain warning for Donegal.
The wind warning comes into effect at midnight tonight and will be in place until 8pm tomorrow.
Southwesterly winds will grow strong and gusty, with coastal fringes being the worst hit.
Heavy rain is also being forecast for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo.
There will be periods of heavy rain through Christmas Eve and into Christmas morning with local spot flooding predicted.
The rain warning comes into effect at 9am tomorrow and remains in place until 9am on Christmas day.
The regional forecast suggests that temperatures will be mild tomorrow with highs of 11 to 12 degrees.
