There was an abundance of Santa hats and Christmas jumpers seen in Letterkenny this morning during the festive parkrun!
109 participants donned their finest festive attire to take part in the event.
Michael Black ran a real Christmas cracker today setting a new course record for males. Niamh Kelly just missed out on setting a new female record by four seconds.
After today’s run, it’s all systems go for the 100th event which takes place next Saturday, 30th December, at 9.30 am in St. Conal’s Complex on the High Road in Letterkenny. A beautiful hamper will be drawn on the morning, with all volunteers/participants eligible to enter free of charge.
The committee has invited former and current Donegal Olympians to launch the special 5k next weekend.
Every Saturday morning at 9:30am, walkers, joggers, fun runners, and elite runners alike come together to take part in this free 5k.
The emphasis is on having fun and enjoying yourself – why not join in next week?
