Just when we thought the worst of the freezing conditions were behind us, Met Eireann has issued another weather alert.
And this time it appears that the north-west of the country including Donegal will be the worst-hit.
The national forecaster has issued two Status Yellow warnings today, one of which is a snow-ice warning which covers the entire country.
The Status Yellow snow-ice warning was issued last night and covers the country from 11am today, December 13 until 8pm on Thursday, December 14.
The forecast gives scattered heavy thunder showers across the country will turn to sleet and possibly snow in places
The north-west is expected to be hit by accumulations of 3cm of snow.
A warning of has also been issued for slippery roads and paths due to the snow and ice.
