The story of a unique doll company based in Letterkenny will feature on the RTE Nationwide programme this evening.
Operating out of the CoLab at Letterkenny IT, Lottie Dolls was set up by Donegal man, Ian Harkin, who sold his house in London to fund his new business and create jobs back at home.
Detailed research went into the creation of Lottie including looking at the pressures on children from various sources.
The result is a doll which looks like a nine-year-old child, not an adult and it’s paying off, Lottie is selling all over the world and has won numerous awards.
RTE’s North West Correspondent Eileen Magnier and cameraman Brian McVeigh, visited the team behind Lottie in Letterkenny recently.
And this evening you can see the creative crew at work and hear why Lottie is such a big hit with children at 7pm on Nationwide on RTE 1 this evening.
