Staff at a Raphoe bookmaker’s shop were left terrified after an armed robbery at the premises.

Two masked and armed burst into BoyleSport Bookmakers in the town just after 9pm on Friday evening last.

The men, armed with what were believed to be handguns, threatened staff.

A small sum of money was handed over before the men made their getaway on foot.

Nobody was hurt during the robbery but staff were left very shaken after their ordeal.

Anybody with any information is asked to contact Gardai in Raphoe.
