Well-established poet and writer Denise Blake from Ramelton has been selected to join the RTE special Christmas Miscellany for 2017.
The regular contributor to Sunday Miscellany on RTE Radio 1 will be reading festive works live for a Christmas broadcast to air on RTE Radio 1.
Denise will be taking to the stage at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on Tuesday, 12th December, for the recording with music by the RTE Concert Orchestra.
The live show is all sold-out, but those at home can tune in to hear Denise and all the other performers at Christmas.
The festive show will be broadcast on the morning of Christmas Eve on RTE Radio 1, with Part Two airing on Christmas Day at 9am. The show is described as a magical event of music and creative writing at its finest.
Originally from Ohio, Denise and her family moved to Donegal in 1969. Her first poetry collection, Take a Deep Breath, was published by Summer Palace Press in 2004. How to Spin Without Getting Dizzy was published in 2010. Her third poetry collection will be published soon by Revival Press.
