The works of artist Robert Taylor Carson HRUA (1919-2008) are set to be desirable lots at an upcoming Christmas auction.
Taylor Carson was known as a painter who captured a life well-travelled and had documented life in Donegal over half a century
This December 11th, Taylor Carson’s works will comprise the opening selection of Whyte’s Christmas auction in Dublin. Over 100 painting from the private collection and studio of the artist dating from 1947 to 2004 will be on sale with lots estimated from €150 to over €3,000.
Taylor Carson lived and worked in Donegal for many years, painting stunning views including are those of Horn Head and Sheephaven Bay, the beach at Downings, Muckish Mountain from Breaghy Head, Lackagh Bridge and Clontallagh. His style was celebrated for the people connected to those places and their way of life.
Lots are on view at Whyte’s from 6-11 December 2017 at 38 Molesworth Street Dublin 2. Auction takes place at 6pm on December 11th.
