Finn Harps are set for a boost to their coffers after utility player Ethan Boyle signed for Premier Division Shamrock Rovers this afternoon.
Boyle, an Irish Under-21 international, signed for Harps ahead of the 2016 season and played for two full seasons at Finn Park.
Now, though, following the club’s relegation, Boyle has joined the Hoops. Sligo Rovers were also interested in Boyle, but he has plumped for Rovers.
Given that Boyle had been offered a new deal at Harps, the Donegal club is now due a compensation fee, thought to be between €8-€10,000, from the move.
