Donegal Mountain Rescue have been called out to attend to walkers on Mount Errigal.
At 6pm the team were on standby for walkers who were in need of assistance on Donegal’s highest peak.
Members of the rescue crew are on site communicating with the walkers.
Conditions at the snow-capped peak are bitterly cold and frosty. A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is currently in place by Met Éireann, and is valid until tomorrow morning.
Temperatures are expected to dip to -1 degrees tonight, with frost and icy patches expected to form.
