The iconic Harvey’s Point Hotel has been announced the best four-star hotel in Ireland for 2018, as selected by trivago.ie holidaymakers.
The trivago Awards 2018 were announced today by the hotel booking website to celebrate the best of Irish hospitality. The awards give hoteliers the chance to receive recognition for their hard work and dedication to providing exemplary guest experiences, and to highlight and publicise this achievement to a world of travellers.
User data revealed that the number one 4-star hotel in Ireland is Harvey’s Point in Donegal Town.
Deirdre McGlone, Hotelier & Director of Harvey’s Point welcomed the news, saying: “We love welcoming guests to Harvey’s Point. It is always our goal to ensure that we deliver the highest possible standards of hotel-keeping, food and hospitality. It is richly rewarding to receive recognition for our efforts.
“This Award belongs to our dedicated team, each of whom plays their part in the Harvey’s Point success story. Our heartfelt thanks to our many guests who wrote so favourably of their experiences at Harvey’s Point.”
Harvey’s weren’t the only Donegal hotel to be honoured for top-notch, top-rated guest experiences.
The Ballyliffin Townhouse took fourth place in the list of Ireland’s Best 3-star Hotels. The popular boutique property won the very same award last year.
All trivago award-winning hotels receive exclusive award-indicators that can increase their visibility and guest appeal online and offline. The single top hotel in each category also gets to take home a coveted trophy along with a winner’s badge for their hotel profile.
In discussing the Awards, Johannes Thomas, Managing Director at trivago N.V., said: “As an independent source of hotel information with data on over 175 million guest reviews, we are well-positioned to identify the top-rated hotels that excel at delivering exceptional guest experiences. The trivago Awards give us the chance to recognise and honour the hard-working hoteliers behind these exemplary hotels, and we are thrilled to do so again this year.”
