Dunfanaghy Men’s Shed was proud to be selected as the host venue for the November Meeting of the Donegal Region Cluster Meeting of the Irish Men’s Shed Association.
Delegates from the growing numbers of Sheds in the county attended the event held on Wednesday in the Holy Trinity Parish Hall and contributed to a wide-ranging agenda, including an address by Barry Sheridan (CEO of the Irish Men’s Sheds Association).
Men’s Sheds are a community-led initiative which encourages men to work on their individual projects in an inclusive and friendly environment.
A spokesperson for Dunfanaghy Men’s Shed says:” Sincere thanks are due to the Holy Trinity congregation for the use of the Church Hall, to Shaun Boyce (Dunfanaghy Centra) for kindly donating some of the refreshments, to Liz Bowyer (exceptional baker) for much appreciated sausage rolls, to Joe Walsh (Fruit and vegetables supplier) for donating a range of tasty fruit.
“Our thanks are also due to the Family Resource Office staff for their continuing invaluable support and to Moses Alcorn for attending, photographing and reporting.
“The delegates from around the County expressed their gratitude and appreciation of the Dunfanaghy Shedders’ efforts and enjoyed a visit to our own shed behind the Dunfanaghy Family Resource Office.”
