Stephen McBrearty was red hot as Kilcar booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Donegal U21 ‘A’ Championship.

McBrearty scored a stunning 2-9 to steer Kilcar to a win over St Michael’s in a goal-fest at Towney.
They had eight points to spare at the end, with St Michael’s having netted two goals in each half, Donegal panellist Michael Langan, Shane Langan, Colin McFadden and Ciaran McGinley all netting for the Bridge men.
Aaron McShane netted Kilcar’s opening goal, but they needed two frees and a penalty goal by McBrearty to lead 2-4 to 2-3 at the break.
Three goals in a row, by Cormac Cannon, McBrearty and Conor Doherty, sent Kilcar on their way to the next round.
