Extensive damage was caused to a house after a blaze broke out last night in Inishowen.
Gardaí and fire services attended the scene of a fire at a house at Lenamore, Muff, at 10:15pm.
A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service told Donegal Daily that the firefighters dealt with a fire in a roof space bedroom of a detached bungalow, and was dealt with by 00:11am.
Several fire engines were deployed to control the fire, with two engines from Northland Fire Station, one from Crescent Link Fire Station, three from Strabane Fire Station, alongside Moville Fire Service.
“Donegal Fire & Rescue Service were also in attendance and the incident was handed over to them,” The NIFRS spokesperson added.
The source of the blaze is now yet known. It is believed that no one was injured in the fire.
A Garda spokesperson told Donegal Daily that the scene is being preserved and investigations are ongoing.
