The new peer mentoring group at the Loft, Letterkenny is now taking registrations.
Young people who want to make a difference to their community, who are interested in helping others and would like to express their thoughts and opinions are invited to join this exciting new group for 15 to 18 year olds.
As part of the peer mentors group young people will receive leadership training, and be encouraged to participate in the project in a mentor capacity during group work, and in the drop-in space. It is also a great opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, build confidence and have fun while doing something great.
The LOFT are looking for a group of around 20 young people, who will not only guide the project staff in their planning, but also offer hands on support to other young people in the project.
The first meet up will be on Saturday the 28th of October, with the rest of the meetings happening every second Saturday after that from 12-2pm.
