Mac Giolla Easbuig elected chair of Islands Committee

Donegal councillor Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig has been appointed the role of Chairperson of Donegal County Council Islands Committee.

The Glenties councillor takes on the role previously held by Cllr Marie Therese Gallagher. As Chairperson, Cllr Mac Giolla Easbuig will oversee the meetings of representatives of Donegal islands and local authorities.

Cllr Mac Giolla Easbuig said he was honoured by the appointment made yesterday at the Islands AGM: “I have been working closely with a good number of our islands this number of years and today was a really big honour for me personally,” he said.
