A leading Bathroom, Plumbing & Tile supplier of quality bathroom suites, plumbing supplies and tiles, and are seeking to recruit a Full-Time Operational Manager for their busy premises in the North West of Donegal.
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent
Location: Donegal
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Main Responsibilities of the Job:
- Manage the operation of the store to ensure profitability and excellent customer service.
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate and kept within budget.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process of all staff.
- Manage performance of staff in order to ensure business objectives are met, rectifying any issues where applicable.
- Develop short and long-term goals for each department.
- Ensure customer care is paramount to the team and any complaints are dealt with effectively.
- Provide support and assistance to the MD as required.
- Adhere to the Company best price practice policies and procedures.
- Maintain an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale.
- Provide reports for the MD on the performance of the business along with recommendations.
- Drive sales opportunities and meet Key Performance Indicators.
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of two year’s experience in a similar role
- Experience in managing a team
- Demonstrable ability to work in a fast paced and commercial environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to understand financial information
- Computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Solutions based attitude
- Highly organised, with a high attention to detail and ability work on own initiative
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in a retail environment.
