One Donegal bar has declared it has had enough of brazen customers taking their stylish gin glasses.
Warehouse Bar + Kitchen, one of Letterkenny’s newest bars, has an extensive gin selection and attractive goblets to sip from. However, gin drinkers are a bit too fond of the glasses and are sneaking them home after a night on the town.
Round Copa de Balon glasses are designed to be the perfect shape for G&Ts, with plenty of room for ice and garnishes to create the best taste.
The Warehouse team are so teed off with sticky-fingered tipplers that they have set up a special night this weekend just for fans of their glasses.
Warehouse are inviting local gin connoisseurs to enjoy certain premium brands of gin this Friday (October 6th) and take their own glasses home – legally!
Every time you order one of the Mór Gin, Haymans Gin, or Gin Mare gins you get to keep that glass so the more you order the more glasses you get.
“Our bar staff are annoyed at customers robbing their glasses, we are giving the people what they want . . . the glasses, so that they stop robbing ours.” says Damien O’ Donnell Bar Manager
A Facebook notice posted with a comical photo said: “We’re not happy at Warehouse…Our gin goblets are being stolen, smuggled out under our very noses!!!
“But this Friday we thought we’d just give them to you!
“Buy a Gin Mare, Haymans or Mór Gin and you can KEEP your glass and take it home, put it in the cupboard and think of us every time you use it.
“
We’ll drink to that!
