Broadband outages from Eir customers were reported across the north of the county this morning.
A Donegal Daily reader says that their broadband has been down since 5pm yesterday, and remained down this morning.
Three Eir vans were seen working on the road between Creeslough and Carrigart yesterday evening between 4 and 5, yet service remained down for the evening.
It has also been alleged that the broadband blackout has affected local businesses’ card machines.
In a statement to Donegal Daily, an Eir spokesperson has apologised for the inconvenience, and confirmed that the issue has now been fixed.
The spokesperson continued: “If you still have issues with your broadband. I’d recommend contacting our technical support on 1890260260 or click here https://www.eir.ie/chatnow/ to chat with one of our agents and they will be able to troubleshoot the issue for you. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
