The home of St Mary’s GAA Club in Convoy is the place to be this Saturday morning the 30th of September as Peppa Pig, The Minions, Elsa and Olaf will appear in a fundraiser for the Adam Mc Donnell fund.
Adam from Convoy is 6 years old and has a life limiting condition. He has microcephaly (small brain), intractable epilepsy, aspiration lung disease and quadriplegic cerebral palsy which means he is unable to walk, crawl, sit, hold objects or even hold his head up. He is peg fed, non-verbal and deaf in one ear. Adam requires round the clock care. In addition to his everyday needs, he has to undergo a lot of therapy.
On Saturday morning people are invited to come to the GAA pitch in Convoy anytime between 11am and 2pm and walk or run a lap with their kids for Adam.
They can get photos taken with the characters and there will be refreshments for the adults in the club hall after, as well as sweets and treats for the kids with a face painter on hand too. People can make a donation if they wish or just simply come out and show your support for Adam and his family.
The event is the last fundraiser before the grand draw next Friday the 6th of Oct which will take place in The White Horse Inn in Convoy. You can still buy tickets by calling Rachel on 0863939536 or online at www.adamsstory.ie
