Another leading business premises has been broken into and ransacked overnight.
The post office and shop at Crossroads in Killygordon was targeted by a gang overnight.
It is understood the gang broke into the premises via the roof and caused a considerable amount of damage.
It is not known yet what exactly was taken in the raid.
A Garda forensics team are at the scene.
This is the third such robbery in the past two weeks with overnight break-ins to petrol stations in Newmills and Laghey.
The post office and shop and Crossroads is operated by the well-known Bradley family who only discovered the break-in as they tried to open the premises this morning.
Local county councillor Patrick McGowan has demanded action in the Finn Valley to prevent further such incidents.
He said the level of policing in the area is a disgrace claiming the Garda station in Ballybofey is rarely opened.
He also slammed the judicial system for going “easy” on repeat offenders.
“I am not blaming the Gardai because the ones who are there are trying to do their best but the situation is a disgrace.
“The Garda station in Ballybofey is rarely open and we simply do not have enough Gardai on the ground. The Government and our Oireachtas members need to do something about this urgently.
“Not just that but we need to start coming down hard on offenders and especially repeat offenders.
“The days of these guys getting colour televisions and having single room cells is over. They need to pay for their crimes and they should not serve their time in the lap of luxury,” he fumed.
