Paddy McCourt produced a true moment of magic for Finn Harps in their derby defeat to Sligo Rovers.
Harps lost 2-1 after conceding a late goal to Rhys McCabe, but for a time the night looked set to become all about the genius of McCourt after a stunning equaliser in the 82nd minute.
McCourt gave a masterclass of a performance in the Harps midfield and had slalomed his way through a glut of Sligo bodies previously, only to be halted on that occasion by Seamus Sharkey.
But there was no stopping the Derry Pele when he set off again eight minutes from time.
The pity was that there weren’t more than the 1,743 present to see one of the best goals ever scored at Finn Park.
