There were moving scenes in Croke Park ahead of today’s All-Ireland final between Mayo and Dublin as the Donegal 1992 panel were honoured before the crowd of 82,000 GAA supporters.
1992 was a landmark year for Donegal as Brian McEniff’s team overcame Dublin, and has gone down in history as one of the most intense GAA matches of all time.
Overcoming the Dubs 0-18 to 0-14 25 years ago, Donegal was the GAA’s honorary Jubilee Team this weekend, marking 25 years since the men played on the same pitch – although this time they swapped out the county colours for tailored suits!
