Unbeaten Donegal middleweight Jason Quigley has been having a close-up perch in Las Vegas all week and will be ringside tonight for a potential fight of the year at the T-Mobile Arena.
Quigley (13-0) remains out of action due to the hand injury sustained in the second round of his NABF middleweight title bout with Glen Tapia at Fantasy Springs in March.
But the Ballybofey man – pictured above with Miguel Cotto – is in Sin City for the middleweight super fight between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.
The WBA, WBC, IBF and The Ring belts are on the line when Kazakhstan’s Golovkin (37-0) squares up to Alvarez (49-1-1).
Quigley would have loved to have been stepping through the ropes tonight on the undercard of the big fight.
But, instead, he has been mixing it with some of the sport’s big names.
And Quigley has spoken to ESPN about his ongoing recovery from the injury and how he copes after suffering it in the second stanza of ten against Tapia.
