The Blue Haven in Kilcar will be packed to its rafters tonight as Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman hosts a fundraising night for his former club, St Catherine’s.
Well over 500 tickets have been snapped up for ‘An Evening with Seamus Coleman’, which gets underway at 8pm
The fundraising night is aid with ground upgrades at Emerald Park, the home of Coleman’s boyhood club, St Catherine’s FC.
Coleman will hold a meet and greet with supporters while the Republic of Ireland captain – who is currently recovering from a double leg break – will also take part in a Q&A session.
Coleman returned to full training with Everton last week.
In March, the Killybegs man suffered a double leg break during Ireland’s World Cup qualifier against Wales in Dublin.
In the aftermath of the injury, Coleman – awarded the Freedom of Donegal this summer – was given a new five-year deal at Everton.
A range of top prizes have also been donated for a draw which will take place this evening.
