Information has been sought on a car that went on a high-speed rampage through Donegal on Saturday night before crashing at Drumoghill.

The black Northern Ireland-registered Honda Civic smashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe jeep being driven by another man at around 9.45pm on Saturday evening.

The jeep was written off in the accident, which occurred not far from Biddy Friels’s pub in Drumoghill.

Earlier in the evening, two pedestrians in Carrigans had a narrow escape when the same Civic almost struck them while they were out walking.

That incident was also reported to Gardai.

There were other sightings of the car in the Kerrykeel/Milford areas earlier on Saturday.

A man in his 20s was removed from the car following the crash.

It is not known whether or not he was the driver of the vehicle. It has been claimed that there were other occupants who fled the scene on foot.
